Kryszewski, M. (1995). "Unconventional all-carbon networks." Materials Science Forum 191: 1-12.

The progress in the synthesis and analysis of selected unconventional all-carbon networks is briefly reviewed. It is shown that recently elaborated synthetic routes using new precursors (usually with multiple triple bonds molecules make possible synthesis of more and more extended carbon networks of different structures. Such all-carbon networks, would be new, kinetically stable, allotropic forms of carbon. Computer simulations show that they should exhibit new interesting properties e.g. negative Poisson coefficient. It is concluded that although the construction of all-carbon networks is still in its infancy but very important advances in synthesis of small sections of such structures have been made and hopefully, at the end of XX century we will have new allotropes of carbon in our hands.
